PACSUN PARTNERS WITH SKULOOP FOR INNOVATIVE FACEBOOK TIMELINE PROMOTION

Facebook fans can create and share product wish lists using Facebook’s newest features

Los Angeles, CA – March 20, 2012 – PacSun, one of the top names in  fashion with over 700 stores in 50 states and Puerto Rico, has partnered with SkuLoop, a technology partner providing tools that create shopping frenzies for retailers, to launch a custom Facebook promotion that takes advantage of the latest Facebook features to engage users around product. The “Spring Style Sweepstakes” is PacSun’s first Facebook TimeLine Application and uses Facebook’s newest verb functions to allow fans to add products to their Wish List, which appears on the fans’ individual Timelines, News Feeds, and Tickers.  By sharing their wish list fans can then enter to win a shopping spree at PacSun.

Fans can add products to their Wish Lists by clicking “Want” in the Facebook interface or they can click thru to purchase the product. “Want” actions also populate on the user’s TimeLine, News Feed, and Ticker, sharing the items immediately with friends. PacSun fans have created and shared Wish Lists and SKU level trends have already begun to emerge. More than 23% of Wish List creators have shared their lists within Facebook and on other social networks. Currently, the Roxy “Pick It Up” backpack appears to be the most “Wanted” item, appearing on over 300 wish lists.
